On June 26, Health Service Center held the Student Support Program "Heartwarming Summer Concert" in the Main Hall of the University Hall, attended by about 48 of students, international students, and faculty members. This concert was planned with the hope that students would spend time during their lunch break listening to live music to heal their minds and bodies.
The concert featured an ensemble concert of flute by Emeritus Professor Hiroaki Yoshikawa, Health Service Center and piano by pianist Yukari Yamada. The concert featured performances of Suite Bergamasque by Claude Debussy, Ballade by Adrien Perruchon, and Linos by André Jolivet.
Students who listened to the performance at the venue on the day of the concert commented: "I liked the beautiful tone of the flute and piano," "The ballad was amazing with its detailed sound movement and the Linos featured frequent shifts in musical tone, and I enjoyed the changes throughout the piece," "I felt less stressed and was able to relax," "It was very impressive. I liked the casual atmosphere and the performance was amazing." Faculty and staff shared the following comments: "I was so moved by the beautiful sound and expression of the flute that I was moved to tears. Listening to live music after a long time was deeply moving," and "A warm feeling was conveyed through the performance."
